NBA Career

On June 26, 2014, Young was drafted into NBA by the Boston Celtics with the 17th overall pick.

Young missed out on the summer league because of the injury and spent most of his time in the training camp. He played for the Red Claws at the time to receive consistent playtime.

He played 19 games for the Red Claws in his rookie season. In July 2015, Young was part of the Celtics for the 2015 NBA Summer League and demonstrated fantastic game skills. Young was part of16 games for the Red Claws in the 2015–16 season.

In July 2016, Young joined the Celtics for the 2016 NBA Summer League. In the 2016-17 season, he played for 29 games with the club and was released from the contract by the Celtics.

Young signed with the New Orleans Pelicans for the 2017 NBA Summer League. On September 6, 2017, he joined a training camp contract with the Milwaukee Bucks but was released after one month of signing the agreement on October 5, 2017.

On October 22, 2017, Young joined the Wisconsin Herd training camp roster. He was with the NBA G League for a year. 

On January 5, 2018, Young entered into a two-way deal with the Philadelphia 76ers and the Delaware 87ers, the NBA G League affiliate of the 76ers. On March 26, 2018, Young was released from the contract by the 76ers.

In October 2018, Young resigned from the Wisconsin Herd. He was released after three months by the Herd.

International Career

On August 8, 2019, Young signed with Maccabi Haifa of the Israeli Premier League. He has many matches where he scored outstanding records.

In the 2019-20 season, he became the top scorer in the Israel Basketball Premier League.

On December 14, 2020, Young entered a contract with the New York Knicks. Soon, he was released and exchanged to the Westchester Knicks, the Knicks’ G League affiliate. He was with the team for three months.
